I studied with a brilliant Hawaiian Kahuna, BJ Carlisle, in the eighties who, as a friend of my husband, invited me to join private classes in his home. BJ said he healed people and taught healing techniques for free to balance out karma from killing people in the Korean War. During that war his power animal, the Mahi, saved his life when his ship was bombed at sea, leaving the crew to swim in shark-infested waters. BJ was one of the few survivors, further compelling him to devote his life to helping others.
This Hawaiian Kahuna was also a master of Akido. In his practice was able to use amplified Kahuna energies to throw at opponents and knock them off balance
as well as to heal members of his Aikido class, giving students muscle
and bone adjustments after sparring.
The use of these Kahuna healing
extensions, which he called Kiatsu, is the energy component of a Kahuna's work that is innate
to being human. Our bodies contain all ranges of these energy
frequencies, with one being predominent. A gaze like a lazer, a
soothing hug, an energizing handshake, all bespeak specific frequences.
When used succinctly, these energies can be directed to trigger acupuncture
points and traumaless spinal and muscle adjustments, heal body weaknesses and rejunvenate cells.
BJ said it was not possible to write a book on Kiatsu as he taught it. I did not start out to write a book, but was compelled to write down sequentially everything that happened in each class as soon as I arrived home, no matter how late. After being jarred in a fenderbumper in the late eighties I consolidated those notes into an extension-by-extension handbook and gave it to chiropractors and healers in exchange for treatments.
One healer immersed himself in each energy frequency for anywhere from one month to six months in his attempts at mastery. He combined these Kiatsu teachings with other healing modalities, and became more proficient in Kiatsu than I had ever been.
Now, given BJ's consent from the etherical realm and Guru's Grace, I am introducing the science of Kiatsu as I was introduced, through private classes with the Hawaiian Kahuna master.
