May 17th 2009 As I awoke preparations had begun to take a Hukam at the Golden Temple of Amritsar. After making my own preparations I sat down to read along and openly receive Guru's guiding words into my heart.
My sense of this Hukam is that God and Guru are enjoying my daycare farm's ups and downs like a good movie, and from their wondrous high balcony, are inviting me to enjoy it with them!

Soohee, Fifth Guru:
The Lord has made this world a stage; He fashioned the expanse of the entire creation. ||1||Pause||
He fashioned it in various ways, with limitless colors and forms. He watches over it with joy, and He never tires of enjoying it. He enjoys all the delights, and yet He remains unattached. ||1||
He has no color, no sign, no mouth and no beard. I cannot describe Your play. Nanak is the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||2||2||45||
It was a sad movie, but a movie, when I went out to
the farmyard after reading the Hukam to feed the animals and was led by Prince, our red
buck, to Cinnamon's body. Cinnamon, our only doe, was stretched out on the dirt in front
of her hutch, the same hutch where her lifeless babies were born a few
weeks ago in the cold. Cinnamon was stiff, gone last night after being attacked by a dog a few days ago, her spirit flying
effortlessly to her true home. Guru welcomed Cinnamon into his arms,
from my prayful hands to his, making it easy to give her back to God.
There
is no difference in movie-watching between the Guru and us in this
respect--we both engage in life's movies, unattached, so as to help souls
rise to their sacred origins. There is great joy in working together
for a divine purpose, no matter what the task.
