"Let us accept Mother Earth as our real mother. She needs our
help, respect, and understanding. God created everything in balance.
There is no difference between a grain of sand and a mountain. One day
there shall be unbearable consequences for little mistakes that abuse Mother
Earth.
A Mother freely teaches
values and virtues to every child for their prosperity, peace of mind,
and consciousness. Let us honor our Mother for our own integrity
and happiness. May we learn to serve and protect our Mother Earth
with an open heart."

BLESSING THE WORLD
Mother Earth, our beloved home, provider and nurturer, is crying with acid rain splattering her face, feverish with toxic dump sites, blood poisoned by rivers of industrial waste, blurry-eyes stinging from smog, wounded by over-mining, malnourished by clear cutting of her lush hairs, scorched by the loss of her protective ozone gown, battered by bombs, her higher consciousness strewn with satellite debris.
Are the children causing this havoc totally heartless, or have they matured in consciousness and awareness to reconcile with loving amends?
Children are connected to their mothers by a golden cord through which a mother's prayer flows. It does not matter what a mother prays for, whether it be for her child to follow a certain religious path or an esteemed career. All prayers following this golden cord serve the child's highest destiny, and all prayers of the child reach and heal their mothers along the same sacred pathway.
One of the most effective times to extend conscious prayers and blessings to Mother Earth comes immediately following the practice of a Kundalini Yoga kriya. Kundalini kriyas engage the body, mind and soul through posture, mantra and conscious breathing. The most powerful point in a kriya is the final inhale, where the breath is held and energy allowed to rise and beam at the point of focus. Yogi Bhajan suggested we use those moments to listen to the mantra we have just chanted with every atom of our being as it resonates in our consciousness.
Mantras chanted silently sound louder than when chanted aloud and easily heal across any distance. Following a kriya, your body is charged with energy and the mind sublimely attuned, enabling you to effortlessly engage with Earth's vast energy field, plugging in to
the entire planet with great immediacy. Energy travels instantly through this heavenly matrix to wherever you imagine.
My kriya of choice for this purpose, because it works
within minutes to get my energy going, is So Darshan Chakra
Kriya. On the final inhaled breath, I raise my arms up as
if to embrace the earth while bringing awareness into each of the ten
fingers, each of the ten Gurus, to engage in the blessing. Although my
intention directs the engagement, the healing that pours through is
from the Gurus' vast realm of love.
Together we bless
all earth formations, the oceans, rivers and lakes and rain--all bodies of
water, the polar regions, air and the ozone layer, all elements and all beings within the elements, all human beings, all human
thought and, finally, all humanity reaching as One toward the Divine, while mentally chanting "Ek Ong Kaar, Sat Gur Prasaad, Sat Gur Prasaad, Ek Ong Kaar," a mantra that transforms darkness into light.
To end, I take three deep inhales, holding each for five to seven seconds while silently, slowly chanting "V-i-c-t-o-r-y," a mantra that brings a legion of angels to aid any prayer, as I tighten and stretch every part of my body upwards while facing forward and twisting to each side. I then vigorously shake everything upwards in each direction and bend over to do leg stretches and stand up to do back bends and shake and
jiggle in a joyful dance. These movements equalize the meditation's energy throughout the body.
The Earth Blessing can follow any kriya. Use the energy generated to hook into the earth's energy field, feel the attunement through your embrace and awaken all ten fingers to engage by calling upon the Ten Gurus to give their blessings, and enjoy!
