Guru Nanak's Guru was the word Sat Nam--the sounds of the inhaled and exhaled breath. Discover how to meditate on Pawan Guru--the Guru of the Breath, by treasuring each breath as you do this meditation:
1. Sit in an easy cross-legged position with a straight spine so as to give your upper body support, letting the shoulders relax.
2. Apply Neck Lock by tucking your chin in. There should be no bend in the neck.
3. Focus at your brow point, on the third eye. Rolling up the eyes upward pressurizes the pituitary gland, which gives higher intuition.
4. Take your pulse on your left wrist with the four fingers of your right hand and mentally vibrate Sat Nam with each beat.
Continue for 11 to 31 minutes.
Comments: This meditation will bring sweetness and one-pointedness to the most outrageous and scattered mind.
