Guru is in my heart and the beings Guru has given me to
process so they may prevail in divine consciousness in the coming Age are with us in beautiful harmony. Recently the opportunity presented itself to see if
Guru's miracle could be perceived, by my volunteering to be a subject in a heart
experiment.
The experiment was designed to test yogis' ability to
detect their own heartbeats. As I lay on a low mattress with sensing
devices taped to my hip, sternum, belly, neck, collarbones, abdomen and hands,
about to proceed with the task, the young man running the experiment started to
groan. It was subtle, but discouraging to say the least.
I asked, "Is everything
okay?" He admitted he had reservations about continuing. In fact, he tore off
the heart rate/blood oxygenation monitor that had been wrapped around my
glowing-red little finger, saying that my heartbeat was so irregular it might
throw off the experiment! But still he offered to give it a try out of curiosity, to see
whether the data would be useful or not.
All seemed to be going well--I commented "Yes" whenever the
beeper matched my heartbeats, and said "No" whenever the beeper was
clearly off beat. And I described where I was feeling the heartbeat when asked, noticing it in places like my hip, foot, eyes, neck,
breast and around my eyes, as well as my heart and wrist.
On completion of the testing, the scientist solemnly suggested I have my heart checked so as to explain all the extra beats. I
exclaimed, "It is probably because I have an extra person inside of me!" a truthful joke. He did not think it was funny, and asked me to look at the
differences between my heartbeat and other his subjects.
Whew! There was no comparison! A normal heartbeat goes
bleep da bleep da bleep and mine goes bleepbleep da bleep ddbleepbleep
bleepbleep da dada bleep...or something like that!
As I was leaving, this scholarly scientist suggested, "go
ahead and keep the follow-up sheet, or just throw it away, or burn it!"
I was not alarmed, and accepted his wise counsel to
have my heart checked. And I checked it myself. Yes, the divine beings who are in my
heart are in perfect harmony, my heart conducting a melodious orchestra.
My heart contains a sublime
Hanuman-like merger, with the Guru's heart in unison with mine blessing the hearts
of the beings we have welcomed in with love. Very possibly there is no instrument that can perceive such sacred inner workings.
