Sacred Space of Sahaj

The Sacred Space of Sahaj opens up a realm of effortlessness where divine healing energies flow through you. The feeling of Sahaj, this effortlessness, is a warm fuzziness throughout your body and the feeling of velvet from your hands. You are one half in and one half out of your body--one half in the etheric realm, consciously connected to the subtle bodies of the soul.

According to Yogi Bhajan, when you maintain this Sacred Space for 180 seconds you can heal 180 degrees.

The ideal is to open the Sacred Space of Sahaj before using your hands for anything!

To Open the Sacred Space:

Begin by chanting ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO three times, resonating "Ong" in the nasal passages. This mantra makes you into a a Sourcerer--a Source Seer, one who sees the source of their power, and is the doorway to the effortless realm of Sahaj.

To enter that doorway:
1. Rub your hands together to create a heat.
2. Sit comfortably with your hands facing each other one inch apart in front of your solar plexus.
3. Spread your fingers wide, stiffening them.
4. Relax your fingers slightly, giving a springy feeling.
5. See-Saw your hands up and down one finger's width past each other to feel the ectoplasmic cord connections between opposite fingertips.
6. Feel as though you are invisible, beginning with the hands, your back and the crown of your head. Feeling invisible means feeling fully out of the way, so that divine energy may prevail.
7. Feel the space between the hands and very slowly begin to widen it while maintaining the sense of connected threads. If you lose this awareness while working on someone, restore it by unobservably tensing the fingers to regain the springy feeling.
8. Consciously open and widen the Sacred Space of a healer as you widen the space between your hands--imagine your hands encompassing the patient, the room, the building, the neighborhood, the town, the surrounding landscape, the earth and atmosphere unto the stars in the heavens. These stars are the macrocosm the patient's atoms and molecules and easily bring the patient's particular state into view.

The more you allow yourself to feel invisible along your back, the greater becomes the power of the healing energy field before you. Focus all your love on the Divine Source of Healing through your invisible crown and sublimely allow this Divine Energy to pore out through invisible hands.
Maintain this state of Grace, of Sahaj, for a minimum of three minutes.

To disconnect, gradually bring the Sacred Space back down from the heavens to Earth, to the neighborhood, to the building, to the room and the patient before you.
