Pronounced "Wah Hay Guroo," Wahe Guru is the mantra of ecstasy. Chant it to the heavens to rejoice in recognition of the Divine and be free of earthly burdens and illusions. Wahe Guru is the "Wow!" realization of God, as
Guru spontaneously transforms darkness, GU, into ROO--light. To understand this
mantra's power and vastness within you, reach your arms up to the heavens,
chant "Wahe Gguru!"and imagine light bursting from darkness and
flooding the Cosmos. Force yourself to chant "Wahe Guru!" while expressing your most overwhelming emotions--anger, fear, frenzy, grief, to dispel illusion.
However it comes out is okay. Chant "Wahe Guru!" loudly, joyfully,
while taking a cold shower first thing in the morning to shed the cold and burn
off your karmas. Silently chant "Wahe Guru!" with the motion of Breath
of Fire to energize your electro-magnetic field and activate your chakras. "Wahe Guru!"
does not need a translation to be understood. Discover its meaning through your
personal experience. Like all mantras in pure Nadh, "Wahe Guru!"
is what it feels and sounds like.
"Wah" is the sound of water. "Hay" represents the fire element. "Guru" vibrates the lips much like a kiss.
This mantra automatically takes the seventh vagus nerve and shatters the limitlessness of human thought. Water and fire and light equal ether, equals Kartar Kar Umber. This is what Wah Hay Guru actually is in the physical realm.
To get the full effect even when chanting silently, churn the mantra in the following way:
"WAH" at the navel, chant while pulling the navel towards the spine.
The lips are puckered, opening to release "AH" creating a sound much like a large drop of water dripping from a faucet. "HAY" is chanted at the heart. Smile broadly, raise the chest and pull the diaphragm up to shine light into the heart. "GU" chanted at the throat, is pronounced like the "Go" in Good. Pull the chin in towards the neck without bending down the head, pursing the lips like a kiss while simultaneously bringing your focus the third eye point between the eyebrows. "RU" is pronounced "ROO. " Keeping the spine straight, relax the chin and diaphragm locks and allow the sound to slide down the nose to the navel, to being again.
The churning motion of this mantra creates Tapa, inner heat that burns through imagined barriers so we may dwell in ecstasy.
