Live a Simple Life
Through Meditations for the New Millennium

Meditations for the New Millennium are a treasure house of wisdom. You can pick out gem after gem. Each one will guide you through an experience within yourself so you can become more radiant, precious and realized as a human being.

In these lectures Yogi Bhajan, after thirty years of teaching, did what only he could--give us a clear vision of the future, of our human destiny, of our character and potential and show us exactly how we can achieve them.

The Sensory Human is the theme that runs through all these lectures and meditations. The Sensory Human is the next step in our collective evolution. It is who we become as our spirit rises and we cultivate our consciousness. Our perception, the way we feel and make decisions, how we relate to each other will all change radically. As Yogi Bhajan says,

"We are answering the Age of Aquarius. We are entering the millennium full force. The Age of Aquarius will be the most graceful, wonderful period of human life in which experiences will be the most prominent factor. The Age of Aquarius will be the age of experience, where only people of experience will be liked, respected, worshipped, talked to and understood.

This great transition will not be without challenge and sacrifice. Our entire social order will go through a shift. The biggest problem will come from inside of us. Our minds, our psyches, will be under enormous pressure from information. We will face overload from the densely interconnected world, from interactions with other people and from the flood of thoughts and feelings we get from our mind and subconscious. This will lead to a tidal wave of mental and emotional syndromes. Some of those syndromes will be new, unexpected and devastating to people's lives. Yogi Bhajan describes these problems--cold depressions and cold anxiety and many more. This is our alert. Prepare for this change, master the self and be a helper, not a casualty.

A major challenge for each of us is to put aside our normal reliance on our five senses, our emotionality and our surroundings and possessions as a source of security. Instead of the five senses, we must develop and trust our intuition, our sixth sense. That sense can understand and direct the other five. Instead of seeking intensity through our emotions, we can cultivate clarity in our consciousness to act effectively, compassionately and realistically. Instead of grasping for security in things and people around us, we must find that security within ourselves and in our confirmed experience of our self.

"As we enter the Age of Aquarius, we must rebuild ourselves to be sensory humans. In the Sensory Age, the sensory system will be different than what we know. To survive, it will be mandatory to use the sixth sense over and above the five senses. As long as we are dwelling in our five senses we are asking for trouble. Once your meditative capacity is real, you will immediately understand what the other person is saying and what to do."

Yogi Bhajan guides us through the ways to develop our self sensory capacity. Then he defines the character that we need--innocence, trust, tranquility, contentment, originality, directness, simplicity, self-worth, dignity and more. He does not just give a concept. With each quality of our character he gives a discipline or meditation to explore and refine that part of ourselves. Every lecture is profound and practical.

When we are develop ourselves as a sensory human, we live with a seamless relationship between our word and our self, between the present moment and the future, between our sense of self and the Infinite and between our personal identity and our unique universal identity in God.

Our change in awareness will change how we experience spirit and the sacred. Religion, which has helped people find meaning and relate to the sacred for thousands of years, has become obsolete. For 5000 years it has taught us to redeem our souls. In the Sensory Age we will know we are already redeemed. We are complete and whole to begin with. Our original self is part of God and is never less. The new task is to realize within ourselves our spirit and consciousness and to deliver ourselves with high character in every circumstance. The task of any spiritual practice is to help us be true to our words, fulfill our commitments, be subtle and aware, and live a simple life, direct and real.

As you read the teachings and words of wisdom from Yogi Bhajan and meditate with these techniques, something within will awaken, strengthen and grow. He is truly a master of this age. Each word opens the way to your heart and to the future filled with opportunity and tests.

Everything is changing and you who study these teachings and prepare yourself will be the helpers, healers and teachers needed for everyone to go through this transition. These CD-ROM collections of Meditations for the New Millennium are a landmark in their timely, easy to access format. The imperative for each student of these teachings is to practice them. To take this information and turn it into experienced wisdom.
